Douglas Wright in the Best Contemporary Christian Song category for <em>Glorious Savior<\/em>! I am truly honored. All the nominees are great!<\/p>\n<p><em>Feb 21, 2011 \u2013 The nominations for the 10th Annual Independent Music Awards have been officially announced, and J. Douglas Wright has been nominated for <strong>Glorious Savior<\/strong> in the Best Contemporary Christian Song category.\u00a0 The song is from Wright\u2019s new album, <strong>Leap<\/strong>, released in January 2011.\u00a0 The album was produced by Brandon Swafford of Swaff Productions in Villa Rica, Georgia, and has already been well-received by fans and radio stations across the country.\u00a0 <strong>Glorious Savior<\/strong> was written by Swafford, Wright, and Carson Ray.\u00a0 Wright is joined in the Best Contemporary Christian Song category by four other nominees, including Andreas Sandlund of Sweden (It Is Your Grace), Canopy Red of Florida (All Around Me), Generation Letter of Florida (King of Peace), and Joey Davila Band of Texas (Go Back).\u00a0 \u201cI am so grateful to the Independent Music Awards for this honor,\u201d says Wright.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cI truly do not have the words to thank them.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0It has also been such a blessing to work with everyone involved in the making of <strong>Leap<\/strong>.\u00a0 Working with Swaff on this project has been one of the best experiences I have had in music.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Independent Music Awards recognize self-released and independent label artists from more than 70 countries on six continents around the world. \u00a0Nominees and winners are selected by a panel of industry judges including Seal, Shelby Lynne, Tom Waits, Adam Duritz of Counting Crows, and Suzanne Vega, among others. \u00a0Past nominees and winners include Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Ike Turner, Jeff Healey, and All That Remains.\u00a0 Winners for the 10th Annual IMAs will be announced in March.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Music fans also have the opportunity to rate the nominated songs through IMA\u2019s Vox Pop at <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.independentmusicawards.com\/imanominee\/10th\/Song\/Contemporary-Christian\"><em>http:\/\/www.independentmusicawards.com\/imanominee\/10th\/Song\/Contemporary-Christian<\/em><\/a><em> .\u00a0 <strong>Leap<\/strong> is available on iTunes and at local Christian bookstores.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Independent Music Awards have nominated J.
