“Mama’s Faith” (\u00a9 2015, ASCAP, written by Wright, Swaff, and Joshua Harrison) is being released as a song to honor moms\u00a0during Mother\u2019s Day season. \u00a0The song is\u00a0about my mother, and the following lyrics\u00a0sum\u00a0up much of what she has taught me by her example:<\/p>\n

And guess what? After much begging, Mom agreed to sing on “Mama’s Faith”! \"IMG_1520\"<\/a>Many of you already know that Mom had a singing career around the time she finished college. One of the highlights of it was when a TV station based in Charlotte, North Carolina had open auditions for someone to headline a summer television show. People came from everywhere, stood in line, auditioned, and Mom was selected. The name of the group was Kitty Wright and the Southern Playboys, and they sang popular songs from the day.<\/p>\n

It is such an honor to have this special recording that features my super-talented mom,\u00a0Kitty Wright. I hope you enjoy it!<\/p>\n

The official release date for HITS<\/em> will be April 24, and the digital copy will be available everywhere starting that day for $8.99. The physical CD will also be\u00a0available on\u00a0April 24 for $10 (these sold out within three days of\u00a0the pre-release party! Thank those of you who made this happen!)<\/p>\n
